Welcome to St. James Anglican Catholic Church

Thank you for visiting our website. If you are unfamiliar with St. James, or the Anglican Catholic tradition, here are some places to start exploring:

Attending Holy Mass

We look forward to meeting you at any of our services. Sung Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Morning Prayer is offered every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. For more details, including information about week-day services, please see our Calendar.

While the traditional communion service can seem confusing to those unfamiliar with the service, first-hand experience is the best way to understand its significance and impact. We encourage you to follow along in the Book of Common Prayer, the Peoples Missal, or the Mass booklet as best you can, or just sit back and enjoy the service. Our History

St. James Anglican Catholic Church was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1857 as a mission of Trinity Episcopal Church (now Trinity Cathedral). At that time, St. James was the fifth Episcopal Church parish or mission in the then 60 year old city of Cleveland, and was originally situated at the corner of what is now East 26th and Superior Avenue. St. James relocated to its current location at the corner of East 55th and Whittier Avenue in 1890. To read more about the history of St. James, click HERE.

Meet with our pastoral staff

St. James clergy and pastoral staff are available to meet with you at coffee hour, or after a church event to provide more information, or just to talk. Click HERE to find biographical and contact information.
